U ovoj doktorskoj disertaciji imate na nekoliko mesta upotrebljenu frazu biotinizirano antitelo
...ali koristi visoko "rafiniranu" avidin-biotin tehniku u kojoj biotinizirano sekundarno antitelo reaguje sa nekoliko streptavidinskih molekula konjugovanih peroksidazom.
Obe metode zahtevaju biotinizirano antitelo kao vezujuce antitelo. Biotinizacija je diskretan proces u toku koga se biotin kovalentno vezuje za antitelo.Otvorena mesta na avidinu iz avidin-biotin kompleksa ili enzimom-obeleženog avidina,
vezuju se za biotin na vezujucem antitelu. Biotinizirano antitelo se ne dodaje u višku pošto za
vezivanje nisu potrebna slobodna Fab mesta. Enzim za obeležavanje u ovoj proceduri je
peroksidaza rena.
