Pretpostavljam da se radi o silikonskoj ili sl. cevi (crevu) koja se intubira (smesta, ubada) u pluca ili grudi pacijenta i ovaj se postupak primenjuje u uglavnom u urgentnoj medicini da bi se sprecio prestanak rada pluca - protok vazduha. Moze da se dogodi da intubirana cevcica "ne proradi" usled fizickih prepreka (tkivo) ili ispunjavanja krvlju (hemothorax)
