One of the biggest problems in the business of insurance companies during present
financial crisis is investing of technical reserves to provide coverage with an adequate form of assets in accordance with the regulations. An important prerequisite for solving this problem is certainly an adequate assessment of technical reserves, especially reservation for claims, which directly affects the size of technical reserves that depends on the achievement of mentioned coverage.
Cilj ovog rada je bio da sveobuhvatno opiše jednu važnu temu za aktuare, ali i za širu javnost koja prati rad osiguravajucih kompanija - proveravanje adekvatnosti rezervacije obaveza za štete kroz analizu dovoljnosti rezervisanih iznosa.
Nadzor sektora osiguranja se najviše interesuje zašto je za obracun IBNR-a korišcena baš ta metodologijom, odnosno da li ta metodologija daje dovoljnu rezervaciju za ispunjenje buducih obaveza prema osiguranicima.
