Explanation:
The native Sinhala word for 'milliard' is ප්රකෝටිය (prakotiya).
There is another word for this in Sinhala derived from the English word 'billion'. That is බිලියනය (biliyanaya).
However at present ප්රකෝටිය (prakotiya) is rarely used in Sri Lanka & the word බිලියනය (biliyanaya) has become the often used word.
