Hi,

Since the asker is asking about the tourist office run by national agency that is marked with an "I" then "turistični informacijski center" is exactly the term they are looking for, and this one is used in Slovenia.
Just a short example, if you (as a tourist) google 'turistični urad ljubljana (or some other town) you get pretty much zero useful links, with search term "turistični informacijski center ljubljana" you get what you want with the first link.
I tried to google for example "turistični informacijski center london" and again the first hit takes you where you want (with turistični urad that's not the case).
But in other cases than that turistični urad or turistična pisarna can be used.

Saj toje ravno tisti egocentrizem, o katerem sem prej govoril. Francoska agencija, kjer nihče ne zna slovensko, sprašuje, kako s po slovensko reče Tourist office, mi pa predpostavimo, da ta urad stoji ravno sredi Ljubljane (ali pa Šmarja).

Hello,
the general translation of the term "Tourist office" is "turistični urad". The ongoing discussion is about whether the Slovenian bureaucratic term should be used when translating this generic phrase into Slovenian. I believe not because it is not clear from the context that such an office is based in Slovenia.

Vem, da imamo v Sloveniji marsikaj. Vendar so takšni uradi po vsem svetu in ne moremo sedaj nekega našega "izuma" vsiljevati vsem. Morda gre za besedilo o Islandiji, Angoli ali Braziliji in najbrž ne bomo njihovega turističnega urada prevajali kot TIC samo zato, ker se nekemu ljubljanskemu ali slovenskemu uradniku to zdi "nobel". Brez zamere, gre zgolj za to, da me moti, ko Slovenci prepogosto cel svet sodimo po sebi.
