English term or phrase: accruing expenses
Hi everyone. Having a difficult time distinguishing devengos and provisiones for the English "accrue".
The full phrase is: "Accruing expenses without vendor invoices"
It is the title of a section in a list of risks to be audited. I think it's provisionar... but then again...

Thanks for all your help.

provisionar gastos
Explanation:
The two words mean the same, that you have to record the expenses when they occur, even if you don't have an invoice yet. I would say that "El principio de devengo trata de cómo provisionar gastos cuando no se han recibido aún las facturas" ... using the wording that best matches wit the rest of the text!

hope it's useful! arantxa

Perdón: En este caso, al tratarse de un concepto de auditoría:

- gastos acumulados/devengados

No creo que la traducción literal sea lo que mejor se ajusta al contexto. Buen domingo!
