Creo que "pay div" quiere decir "pay division":

Esta definición aparece en el "SWISS (Scottish Workforce Information Standard System) User Manual":
"SWISS is used by the NHS to record many different types of information on its employees from the Payroll system ranging from sickness absence to information regarding employment earnings."

Es un documento Excel. En la hoja llamada "Employment Earnings", aparece la siguiente definición:

"Data Item: Pay Division
Definition: A mechanism for grouping staff within areas (for use in payroll). Also used for controlling data access

La abreviatura "Pay Div" se identifica claramente con "Pay Division" en otro lugar del documento Excel citado arriba:

Creo que también valdría "grupo salarial", aunque podría ser preferible reservar "grupo" para "group code". O incluso lo literal: "división salarial".
