Encontré "compensated absences" que se define como sigue:
Expected payments to employees who miss work because of illness, vacation, or holidays. A liability is accrued for compensation for future absences if all of the following criteria are satisfied: (1) employee services have already been performed; (2) rights have already been vested; (3) there is probable payment; and (4) the amount is subject to reasonable estimation. If the amount is not determinable, accrual is not possible, but footnote disclosure should be given.

En este caso, yo cambiaría el orden de los términos y pondría "ausencias remuneradas y gratificaciones", porque de lo contrario, parece que el adjetivo "remuneradas" también está calificando al sustantivo " gratificaciones".
