Saludos,

estoy un poco espeso y no acabo de decidirme por el significado de “commissioning” en esta frase. ¿Se refiere a la persona o empresa que encarga un trabajo, o a la empresa o profesional que ha sido contratado para llevar ese trabajo a cabo?

En este caso, el texto habla de una agencia de publicidad a la que se le encarga un proyecto de diseño, y de qué ocurre cuando el briefing de diseño no está bien elaborado. Incluyo un fragmento del texto a continuación:

“If, under these circumstances, a designer gamely progresses with a project, only to meet with the depressing ‘that’s not really what I had in mind’ response, the resulting situation will be problematic for the COMMISSIONING PARTY. If the quality of the design work is good but hasn’t been pushed in the direction intended, the fault most likely lies with the shortcomings of the brief. Under these circumstances, and if the designer has truly given it their best shot, it’s unreasonable to reject the work.”
