Se trata de una baliza de localización portátil. Es una especie de cordón que tiene la baliza.

La duda me viene por lo de "lanyard cord". No sé si sobra una palabra o si hay otro significado.

Desenrrole el ...y aseguréla a la balsa salvavidas o a una ayuda de flotación.

Explanation:
Creo que siempre se tiende a denominar "cordón de seguridad", cosa de las costumbres. Así me lo comentó un amigo, comandante de 767. Se retira la radiobaliza de su estuche y se la fija por medio del cordón a donde corresponda, balsa de salvamento, etc. ¡Suerte!
