Asker: Muchas gracias. He elegido despenachado porque he visto que se utiliza más habitualmente que despanojar.

Soy agronoma y he estudiado genetica. Tecnicamente este operacion se llama castracion.
"El maíz es una planta monoica con las flores masculinas y femeninas en distinta situación, para cruzar los parentales es preciso castrar la planta de maíz que queremos se comporte como hembra (aunque también se puede aprovechar la androesterilidad de algunas plantas ahorrándonos el coste y tiempo de la castración) y cubrir con una bolsa la “mazorca” para así evitar fecundaciones indeseadas. El polen de la panícula de la planta que actuará de macho será el que utilicemos para fecundar la mazorca llegado el momento óptimo."

Asker: Muchas gracias por tu explicación. Creo que en este caso despenachado y castración tienen significados similares pero he elegdo despenachado porque he visto que existe un término concreto para castración.
