English to Spanish translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Agriculture / Pesticide use and legislation | | English term or phrase: Toolbox (aquí) | ESPAÑA. From a European document. I dislike the currently widespread use of "tool" to describe abstract concepts, which I perceive as a hangover from IT jargon, so didn't know what to say when a Spanish friend asked me how to express this in Castellano. It's a heading in a document about pesticide controls.

Explanation:
Creo que en realidad se están refiriendo a las "Toolbox Meetings" que suelen realizarse en las áreas de Salud, Seguridad e Higiene. Recientemente tuve que traducir información similar, y como no encontré equivalente pues las traduje describiéndolas y entre paréntesis dejé "Toolbox Meetings" la primera vez que aparecieron en el documento.
Estas reuniones suelen ser reuniones breves que se realizan antes de realizar una tarea en particular, en las que se brinda información de seguridad a los trabajadores.

Ojo con 'mejorar' tan a la ligera al texto fuente. No estoy de acuerdo en tirar por la borda el concepto semántico alrededor de 'tool/toolbox' (ni tampoco que eso proceda enteramente del mundo IT). Al contrario, es un concepto útil; 'toolbox' trae a la mente una imagen, es menos abstracto que hablar de 'medidas' a secas, o de un 'conjunto de medidas'. Propongo 'herramental de reducción de riesgo' o 'herramental de medidas para reducir (el) riesgo' o algo así.
Con esto hago uso de la segunda acepción registrada por el Dicc. de la RAE: "1. adj. Se dice de la bolsa u otra cosa en que se guardan y llevan las herramientas. U. t. c. s. m. 2. m. Conjunto de herramientas de un oficio o profesión." (http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/)
