I thought I should post it as an answer instead of leaving it in the discussion section now that we have clarify that we are talkign about potatoes
papa/patata ratte
La patata ratte, también conocida como Asparges, es originara de Francia y Dinamarca, al parecer, se originó en el siglo XIX.
Dada la forma que tiene este tubérculo, alargada, ligeramente curvada y algo más gruesa que un dedo, hay quien conoce la ratte como fingerling (finger=dedo), y posiblemente aún reciba otras denominaciones en otros países.
