English term or phrase: "getting up in someone's grille"
the phrase appears in an article explaining the confrontational styles of American culture. Someone translated it as "contar las costillas", but I have never heard the expression in Spanish. Does any one have a better alternative!
Thanks!
Marina

buscarle las cosquillas a alguien
Explanation:
en España esta expresión se usa y me parece que es equivalente, por todo lo que veo.

Este significado no tiene nada de la connotación de confrontación sino de "empatía".

Another option might be \"caerle encima de otro\" (en el sentido figurado, claro está) :-)
