El término que define a *deaccessioning* es venta. El término *cesión* puede significar un préstamo a otro museo, a una exposición preparada por un gobierno, etc. En el caso de venta es un desprendimiento de la obra, por distintos motivos, pero siempre a través de un beneficio.
