Y parece que, por una vez :), los de la RAE me dan la razón:

angular.
(Del lat. angulāris).
1. adj. Perteneciente o relativo al ángulo.
2. adj. De forma de ángulo.

anguloso, sa.
(Del lat. angulōsus).
1. adj. Que tiene ángulos (‖ esquinas).

O sea, que el arte cubista se caracteriza por que muestra ángulos (anguloso), no por ser relativo o perteneciente al ángulo (angular)... Por eso prefiero utilizar la primera opción. :-)
