English term or phrase: got walked in on
My girlfriend and were all naked and fooling around at a small hotel in Katmandu when we got walked in on!

Me confunde mucho la frase, con ese final "got, in, on"
Me podéis ayudar?
Saludos

Alguien entró y los sorprendió en fragante

Explanation:
Sólo quiere decir que alguien entró y que ellos no lo esperaba. Les fue una sorpresa no muy agradable.

¡Muy interesante!

Nos sorprendieron, nos pescaron

Explanation:
That's the shortest and most descriptive way for that situation it could also be said "me pescaron con las manos en la masa", but in this particular case it would have a double meaning.

Hope it helps,

los cacharon

Explanation:
Vamos a descomponerlo. Como ya señalaron en los respuestos anteriores, "to walk in", es entrar, pasar (a la habitación del hotel en este caso). "On" agrega el significado de que se les hicieron a Uds, en el sentido de una circunstancia se les cayó encima. Y el "got" aparece en la construcción de "to get" + participo pasivo, que en español muchas veces se traduce con un solo verbo p.ej. to get old=envejecerse, to get happy=contentarse, get dressed=vestirse etc.

Espero que quede un poco más claro.

pillar, pescar

Explanation:
I wonder what the purists would think of this ending a sentence with TWO PREPOSITIONS! They say that at least in fromal English, a sentence should not end in a propositoion. That aside..

got walked in on

is awkward English, acceptable only in speech. An alternative way to say this is

someone walked in on us

To walk in on somebody is - to enter a room/enclosed space that you normally enter on foot, and to find somebody doing something that they/you/both are embarassed about

Spanish cannot convey in a single word the 'matices' of phrasal verbs such as the above that consits of 3 items of info (the 'inside'implication, 'specifically how the action was done'implication (walk) and the sum meaning of the expression)

Nos pillaron
Nos pescaron

would convey the essential idea.

alguien entró sin llamar a la puerta

Explanation:
Mi novia y yo estábamos desnudos y en pleno jolgorio amoroso en un pequeño hotel de Katmandú cuando alguien entró sin llamar a la puerta.

Las demás posibilidades ofrecidas (salvo una) son válidas.
