-> Stumble es un verbo preposicional y su significado varía según la preposición. En este caso la preposición no acompaña al sustantivo, sino al verbo :)

disagree  Refugio: Up is not the same thing as upon. There is no such verb phrase as 'stumble up'. Up is a preposition here, introducing the prepositional phrase 'up the street' (calle arriba).

maneja / anda desmañadamente calle arriba

Explanation:
The use of 'stumble' for the movement of a car would be very unusual, but maybe this is what it means.

On the other hand, if it says, stumbles ON the street, then encontrar por casualidad would make sense.

Mireia!
Aunque es verdad que stumble es un verbo preposicional, para significar \"encontrar/tropezar con la calle\" tendría que llevar la preposición \"UPON\": \"She stumbles upon the street\".

En este caso la preposición acompaña al sustantivo.

Good luck, again!

conduce a trompicones/dando tirones calle arriba

Explanation:
Coincido en que el uso de stumble es más bien para caminar, pero si se refiere a la forma de conducir, me parece que esta es la forma correcta de interpretarlo. Probablemente se trate de una persona con poca experiencia al volante, y sobre todo cuesta arriba, al principio es difícil conducir y el coche suele dar tirones cuando no se le tiene cogido el punto al embrague.

stumble (v.i.)
b (move unsteadily) (+ adv compl): to stumble along/in/out ir*/entrar/salir* a tropezones or a trompicones; I just stumbled into movies by accident fue por casualidad que empecé a hacer cine
