adolescentes vanguardistas

Explanation:

Adolescentes "Cool"

Explanation:
In Mexico it is becoming very popular amongst teenagers to use the english word "cool" in reference of something or someone that is in fact cool!, they pronounce it like "kuul".

En onda would be another way to say it, but how very 70's!

Hope it helps

hip

Explanation:
...jovenes modernos comienzan nueva onda de moda...

This is a phrase or incomplete sentence
where one must be careful not to repeat the same word twice since hip can have the meaning of (3)of the words in the sentence; hip: moderno, moda, onda
Also, moda can be used in the sentence as hip and then as clothes. :-)

"in" ó "hip" u otros...

Explanation:
En Puerto Rico el anglicismo está "in" o en español:

Jóvenes que están...

"en algo"
"a la moda"
"en la cosa"
"con lo último"
"a fuego"

Pues pa' PR estas "valen."

grupos de jovenes en la onda empiezan una locura nacional de la moda

Explanation:
You could say "jovenes guayes" which would sound awkward even in Spain which is the only place where the term guay (meaning "cool") is used.

Your best bet is to use "jovenes en la onda." That way people from different countries would understand what you mean.
