Por definición. Y en la frase motivo de la consulta se refiere a controlar que no haya fugas de vapores de combustible, que se producen en el depósito. Siempre se generan vapores de combustible. Lo verdaderamente importante aquí es que no se produzcan fugas.

Creo que lo más correcto sería algo así como "gases emanados en los vapores de gasolina/combustible", que son gases nocivos. Creo que "vapor gases" es una forma corta de decir todo eso: "gases del vapor (del combustible)". Encontré en varios lados "gases de la evaporación", es decir, dan por sobreentendido que la evaporación es del combustible. Qué les parece? Feliz 2012!!!

Están hablando de lo mismo. Si te fijás bien, el texto está plagado de errores en inglés, "capture the vapor gases and send IT" en lugar de them. Son los gases de gasolina.

The vapor gas of a vehicle is mainly generated from the fuel tank. If there is a leakage in the fuel line connected to injectors, a large quantity of vapor gas can be released into the atmosphere. When the vapor gas is released, hydrocarbon (HC) which is harmful to the human body is discharged into the air. Therefore, the PCSV is needed to capture the vapor gases and send it to the combustion chamber. Though the PCSV can capture the vapor gases and send them to the combustion chamber, it cannot monitor the gas released into the atmosphere.
