Hi, I'm translating the following sentence in a Corporate Car Policy document, and I can't figure out the meaning of 'banks' here...

"Expenses with polishing, removing small scratches and/or small dents (small tinsmith work), placing film on the
windows, polishing wheels, sealing of *banks*, etc. will not be reimbursed by the company."

Am I missing something? Thank you so much for your help.

Trabajé en una importadora de coches durante años. Ni el fabricante, ni la importadora, protegíamos tableros / salpicaderos. Lo que se protege son paneles laterales, puertas, etc. Por el contexto entiendo que pueden estar refiriéndose a esto.

En aviación un “bank” es un una inclinación lateral de una aeronave. De ahí que piense que se trata de algo lateral que han de ser paneles laterales de la carrocería de un vehículo. Seguro, seguro, no estoy.
