For example: lead/pull conditions can be described as “the steering wheel is not centered”, because the customer is compensating for a lead/pull condition by applying steering effort to keep the vehicle traveling straight, sees that the steering wheel is not straight, and interprets this incorrectly as the steering wheel being off center. http://vitalysmobileautodiagnostics.com/archives/7545 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 53 mins (2015-02-06 15:26:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Tambiénvolante fuera de centro, desfasado -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 56 mins (2015-02-06 15:29:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Volante descentrado http://www.bmwfaq.com/threads/volante-descentrado.370991/ -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 57 mins (2015-02-06 15:31:24 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Posible causa de tener el Volante descentrado http://www.audisport-iberica.com/foro/topic/82141-posible-ca... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 59 mins (2015-02-06 15:33:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Volante descentrado. http://www.clubseatleon.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2489 |

Reference: Getting it Straight: Wheel Alignment Considerations Reference information: Web ref 1 A common wheel alignment symptom is a lead/pull condition, which is the amount of effort required at the steering wheel to maintain the vehicle's straight heading at a constant speed on a straight road. Correcting this condition may require a wheel alignment, but also keep in mind road slope or road crown. As a part of normal operation, vehicles will follow side-to-side road slope or road crown. So, first check with the customer about the types of roads that are being driven. Some drivers do not recognize the influence of road slope on vehicle lead/pull. (Fig. 2) Reference: http://www.archivedsites.com/techconnect/2011/03/getting-it-...
