If you read my explanation better you will see that I was not sure if this part was called "board" or " transmission shifter module". This are 2 different terms with 2 different definitions. I never wrote in this question that "pcb" could be the term. The initials "pcb" are just in the same sentence where the term "board" is. Honestly, at that time I did not think that "pcb" might be the correct term.

Anyway I understand your point and perhaps this is not the right way to make a question in Kudoz, maybe it would be nice if we had a forum where one can ask about terms for a particular object in a photo.

But you do know the term in English, that's the one you're asking for help with - "PCB" or "board" earlier in the source sentence.

Where you've written "placa electrónica o tablero electrónico" for the actual term (PCB) that you require help with you should have written the actual term "board/PCB", not your suggested translation of the problem term - if you follow me. You're posting your two suggestions for possible answers where the question should go ;@)

It's no big deal, just something to bear in mind for the future, it will also mean that you'll get better responses. The term entry can changed after it has been entered into the glossary.

You've asked for help with a Spanish term and placed it in En > Sp, when it is in fact an En term. This will be very messy and not very helpful in the glossary....please take care to enter terms correctly and help maintain a tidy, useful glossary. TIA ;@)

Como dice Kirsten, en este caso parece estar hablando de la "placa/circuito impreso", ya que menciona que los pads del circuito fueron enchapados con oro (que mejora la transmisión).

es de una "placa de circuitos eléctricos/impresos". Ahora, el "transmission shifter module" es el "módulo de transmisión". Dentro del "módulo" viene la "placa".

En España decimos "placa electrónica" o "circuito impreso". Eso cuando hablamos de un circuito cualquiera. ¿Pero quizás tú quieres el término de exactamente esta pieza?
