English term or phrase: pecky wood and pecky head.

These are two decorators that find a beautiful log, and they find out it's called pecky wood. They want to use it for specific type of decorations. They go on and on playing with the word and get to the expression Pecky Head. I have used "cipres agujereado" para pecky wood y "cabeza hueca" para pecky head. Agradezco su input al respecto. Explanation:
I found "pecky" acutally means "showing or marked by spots or holes caused by decay" or "spotted with fungi" so I do not see the connection between the "agujereado" and "hueco" terms as translation for "pecky". I suppose you found the "pecky cypress" plant and hence you included the "cypress" word but I think the combinations are better translated as I am suggesting and the word "manchada" is a matter of your translatory taste, I liked it better than "moteada", "salpicada" or "sucia" which I suppose you could also use. I am posting a few references that could help you with the idea of how that pecky wood looks like.
