• There are several different types of topiaries used at this resort, including free form topiaries, boxed topiaries, and stuffed or sphagnum moss topiaries.
• Free Form Topiaries are those shrubs or trees that are creatively trimmed, such as the shrubs pruned into squares at the Universe of Energy Pavilion at Epcot and the spiral and pom-pom shrubs at the Pavilion.
• Free Form Topiaries require no internal framework. They are the result of consistent pruning with a steady hand and a creative eye.
• In front of us is a Boxed Topiary. Boxed topiaries start with a steel frame that has been welded into a particular shape, such as a character. The frame is set into a large box with soil and the shrubs are planted at the base of the steel frame
