Mira creo que se trata de eso. Sin embargo, la colocación "disto-outward" no sale en inglés en ninguna parte.

Extremo distal
Es el más alejado del cuerpo del animal. Las falanges de manos y pies y la punta de los cuernos, las orejas o de la cola serían los extremos distales de estos apéndices.
