Explanation:
La figura mas parecida a la "Private Limited Company" o "PLC" es, en España, la "sociedad de responsabilidad limitada" o "SRL". Las "limited companies" inglesas que no son "private" son las que se convierten en sociedades anónimas.

Hace años que me enfrenté a esta duda y la resolvó hablando con abogados ingleses y españoles, hasta tenerlo claro.

I usually leave the PLC since it is ruled by the law in the English speaking country but if you are required to translate it I use the above.

Y el diccionatio de Alcaraz Varó/Hughes:

sociedad anónima cuyas acciones cotizan en Bolsa; el nombre equivalente en los Estados Unidos es incorporated business/company, INC.

Yo lo traduciría o no (por S.A.) o (S.A.A.) en función de como aparece en el texto. Si figura inmediatamente después del nombre de una empresa, no lo traduciría.
