trabajo-en-progreso, sin terminación, sin realización. Explanation: although I haven't had time to do a full search on the Internet, the term here is based on the context (as all things are). The context without doubt is that of the manufacturing industry. When components have been worked upon, but are as yet uncompleted, they are called "work-in-progress". Work-in-progress, like raw materials and completed products and components, has to be accounted for accounting and production reasons. Thus, "work-in-progress" needs to be translated with this idea in mind. Surely there is a term used in the factories in the Hispanic world, but I do not know it. Nevertheles, I hope the above suggestions help. |

I disagree with TranzProz. .. Explanation: The real term in the manufacturing world is 'Trabajo en Proceso', which is the equivalent of WIP en English. You may consult the APICS Dictionary to check this. Sometimes, they also say 'Producción en Proceso' but the former is used more often. As a consultant on the field, that's what we use. However, that roll stock may be the kind of stock they keep on rolls, like cable, wire, and some packaging components, which might not be on the floor but stored at the warehouse. In this case, you are indicated that it is damaged. It could be damaged at the floor, or damaged during transportation by the carrier. The nature of the transfer will depend on how it was damaged. |

Referencias: Dicc. Politecnico de F. Beigbeder. Reference: http://www.gildevert.com/cast/b1.htm |
