yo creo que es consumación incluso si suena raro, porque la palabra viene del latin consummare que significa completar......o traer a la perfeccion o llenar......

Explanation:
o firma del contrato. Pero cuidado, dependiendo del contexto, del tipo de contrato, se me ocurre que también podría ser el cumplimiento del contrato, cosa muy distinta.

Definitivamente, preferiría "contrato" a "acuerdo" en este contexto.
