English term or phrase: ¿Venture capital=risk capital=risk equity=equity risk?
Siempre he visto capital-riesgo como "venture capital".

1) Although one might say the ROSCO’s value was not fully appreciated at the time of its initial sale, one could also argue that, once you put the sale into context, the example illustrates why risk capital was motivated to invest in the deal.

2) There are basically three different types of private sector capital resources – loans, leasing and risk equity.

3) Incentives usually bring risk capital for expansion and improvement.

4) Sometimes this is difficult to assess with equity risk, but nonetheless it needs constant review.

¿venture capital=risk capital=risk equity=equity risk?
Ventura capital=risk capital=risk equity, pero no "equity risk"

Explanation:

Risk capital : n. (EN) Syn: venture capital . Equity finance provided usually to young, unquoted businesses to help them expand or get started.

Venture capital: n. (EN) Syn: risk capital . Equity finance provided usually to young, unquoted businesses to help them expand or get started.

Venture capitalist An individual or organisation that provides ***risk equity*** or loan capital to businesses for developing and growing the business or acquisition (that is, buying another business) purposes.

Equity Risk
Risk due to fluctuations in stock prices, a component of market risk.

What is equity risk? Well in one sense it is quite straightforward. Which of these two shares is the riskier?

Well, pretty obviously it is B. Its price is more volatile. Where does this kind of volatility come from?

As we have seen earlier in this module, a stock is a part ownership interest in a company. You may get dividends – which are payable at the discretion of management – and you may get capital appreciation in the form of a rising share price; but whether the payment of dividends is an option for management is directly dependent on the company's performance (its profitability); and a rising share price depends on the market’s assessment of the company’s performance.

Equity risk
For equity funds generally, the value of common shares is subject to general economic and capital market conditions such as equity market trends, interest rate levels, corporate earnings levels and trends, economic policies, and the like. Because of these general risk factors, common shares are likely to experience short-term fluctuations causing their value to increase or decrease over short periods of time.
