"Formulario Estatal de Inhabilidad" Explanation: I don't know what EDD means, perhaps E? Disability Determination. If the initials are conspicuous on the form, it would be better to keep them in English and offer the translation (above) in parenthesis. |

Formulario Electrónico Estatal de Incapacidad Explanation: EDD means "Electronic Document Delivery" according to EUTERPE (European Parliament Terminology Database). I am not familiar with this form, but it must be one concerning (physical or other/temporary or permanent) disabilities within a particular State which can be recorded on diskette or transmitted via e-mail. Disability can be translated as incapacidad, discapacidad, invalidez or minusvalía. Although the latter is not PC language, it is however widely used in official forms in Spain. The reference to "Eurodicautom" concerns only the term "disability", as I could not find EDD (except in EUTERPE). Hope this helps. Reference: http://eurodic.ip.lu/cgi-bin/edicbin/EuroDicWWW.pl |
