I do not understand what "to give a little" means in this context. I would appreciate your help.

If we place the order before Chinese New Year (by our Thursday night) I believe I can offer you the same price as your current order $xxx per metric ton. If we do not place the order before Chinese New Year the mill wants to wait until after Chinese New Year to quote you. The mill seems willing to give a little to have work scheduled for immediately after the holiday.
