Ten en cuenta que luego se especifica que trabaja para el Ministerio de Tecnología, luego es un funcionario público (perteneciente al cuerpo de funcionarios científicos). En España, una figura similar sería la de los funcionarios-científicos del CSIC o Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas adscrito al Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.
