Explanation:
"Department" en cuestiones de política y derecho se traduce más como "Ministerio" pero, aún así, las funciones de nuestros ministerios no coinciden con las de países anglófonos, que es de donde supongo que procede el original. Al tratarse de un organismo dedicado a la admisnistración púbica, yo pondría mejor una nota diciendo que se trata de un organismo equivalente a nuestro Ministerio de Hacienda y Adminsitraciones Públicas.
