Suele traducirse como unidad de disco si no pensamos especificar más sobre la misma.
Si pensamos hablar sobre el dispositivo en sí, mejor traducirlo como dispositivo de disco. x ej.\"Elija el dispositivo de disco donde grabará su archivo...\"
Antiguamente, la gente de sistemas se refería al dispositivo de disco como el \"eje del disco\" o el \"buzón del disco\". Pero al no seguir usándose esas palabras, ahora suenan extraño.
