The software of this printer displays different screens. Among them, I found.

"The software adds a ribbon to screens in Office applications."

This can´t refer to the printer ribbon but to a kind of toolbar on the screens.

"Ribbon" es el término de Microsoft para una nueva barra de opciones que introdujo en Office 2007 en su interfaz "Fluent":

En su documentación en inglés, Microsoft la llama "Ribbon" (con mayúscula), a secas. Pero en la versión española, pone siempre "cinta de opciones" (y, en alguna ocasión, "banda de opciones", pero "cinta es el término predominante); por ejemplo:

Así pues, creo que conviene incluir "de opciones". En cualquier caso, se entiende mejor así.
