A ver su opinión, ese "is" no está de más en la oración o es que yo ya estoy tan saturada que no puedo ni leer o razonar. Mil gracias de antemano!!!

Creo que está diciendo que el primer nivel de limpieza del cartucho que se debe intentar es una limpieza superficial. Lo comparan con el efecto de escupir y pasar un paño sobre algo sucio: puede ayudar, puede que sea suficiente para que funcione. Ademas esta confusa la explicacion. Mejor aprender como se utiliza el producto, y luego ponerlo en palabras de manera que el consumidor pueda usar el producto.
