Algo que ver con el recupero de imagen??
The PDF/A standard was approved for its ability to maintain a consistently retrieved and rendered image over time.

ability to maintain a consistently retrieved and rendered image over time = la capacidad de mantener una calidad de imagen constante en las imágenes recuperadas y entregadas/interpretadas/desplegadas

En Canon muchas veces traducimos "render" como "interpretar". Pero en este caso creo que queda mejor "desplegada" o "presentada", ya que se trata del formato PDF, o sea, cómo presenta las imágenes, que no pierden calidad con el tiempo. La calidad de imagen permanece constante.

neutral  Tomás Cano Binder, CT: Sólo una nota local: en España cuando decimos que algo es "presentable" queremos decir "de buen aspecto", "que te dejará en buen lugar"... Para "render" usaríamos "representable" o "reproducible".

agree  Tomás Cano Binder, CT: Habría preferido que dieras una sola respuesta para "rendered". Ninguna de las que pones me gusta demasiado. Yo diría "representada". "To render an image" (ya sea en papel o en la pantalla) es "representarla".

creo que esto es, lo que se ha hecho es tomar la imagen de archivo y plasmarla, ya sea insertándola, imprimiendola, pero haciéndola visible, vaya.
