English term or phrase: collapsed view
as in a database or menu when you click on the _ sign you get the collapsed view.
Vista contraida no me gusta. Reducida? Basica? Plegada? Condensada? Tiene que haber algo por ahi, si yo lo he visto no me acuerdo

Explanation:
Sólo quería comentarte que los glosarios de Microsoft (supongo que ya lo sabrás) traducen "collapsed" como contraida y expanded/expandida. Cierto que no suena muy bien, pero si estás traduciendo software que se va a ejecutar en una plataforma Windows, yo creo que lo más correcto (por coherencia) sería mantener la terminología que impone Billy (Gates).

Gracias. No no sabia que los glosarios de MS utilizaban vista contraida, solo fue lo primero que se me ocurrio, pero queria tener una segunda opinion, y tu respuesta es justo lo que estaba esperando; una confirmacion. Pensandolo bien, es la mejor palabra. Muchas gracias a todos..

I think that maybe your option of "vista disminuida" may lead to thinking of "inability". My suggestion would be "vista minimizada", though I am not sure whether that's the meaning you might be looking for in your context.
