agree  Wolf617: Para la impresión se obtienen los colores mediante tramas ("Process colors" o tintas 'de proceso', CMYK), o estas tintas planas, tal como explica Julio. O sea que el verde se puede lograr con una "tinta plana" verde o con tintas Yellow + Cyan "de proceso"

Se refiere a colores que se imprimen directamente tal cual son, sin necesidad de usar una trama de varios colores para conseguir un tono concreto (como ocurre con la impresión a color / cuatricromía); un ejemplo de los colores directos o tintas planas son las tintas Pantone.

disagree  Wolf617: Desconozco si en CR se usa este término y con que sentido, pero las tintas planas son colores que se imprimen y se ven, no algo invisible.

  -> No, hay un error en tu comprensión de las técnicas de impresión. Claramente en el contexto se indica que son tintas visibles solamente bajo luz ultravioleta y por tanto invisibles al ojo humano. En otras palabras existen tintas mecánicas invisibles.

Son aquellas tintas que se aplican mediante una plancha adicional a las de los cuatro colores de la cuatricromía, al menos así las llamamos en España... :-)

Tienen toda la razón Ahe y Julio. También se les llama colores directos o tintas planas. Son sinónimos absolutos. Este texto indica que pueden usarse barnices UV que se aplican en máquina a la vez que el resto de tintas.
