Avaya’s vision for business communications is realized through the Avaya Aura™ architecture. Because this architecture is based on SIP, it enables multi-vendor, multi-modal interoperability. For example, regardless of which system or phone a user is on – 3rd party PBX, Avaya, or legacy systems, as well as Avaya SIP phones directly connected to Avaya Aura Session Manager – they have access to the communications applications they need from any location, whenever they need them. And, by leveraging individual user profiles, a single application in the cloud like Modular Messaging, Meeting Exchange, or Voice Portal, can be mapped to users across all business units, sites, and locations. This provides tremendous simplification and cost savings to our customers and also gives them the ability to deploy advanced functionality for their company.
