No sé a que se refiere el término, está usado en dos partes en esta oración. Describe la escena de un crimen:

This includes dispositioning for keys to property, turning off unnecessary power, clearing out perishable items from refrigerator, cabinets, etc., dispositioning of animals and pets, and leaving the premises in some reasonable semblance of order.

Explanation:
The sense of the English here is "assuring the proper placement and availability of," and it seems that this phrasing reflects both of these elements more clearly than "disponer" by itself.

More than 3.7 million Yahoo hits for "asegurar la disponibilidad de."

My suggestion would work for the first instance only. I think that "disponer de" would have to be used for "dispositioning of" pets, animals, etc. since, in these cases, the reference is likely not to "availability for future use or reclaiming."

  -> Thank you, Adriana. (I've stayed faithful to Yahoo because it is where I have had my personal e-mail account for the last 12 years. I don't really notice a big difference in the results of the kind of searches I conduct between Y. and Google. :)
