No estoy demasiado segura, porque ignoro el sigificado específico que pueda tener en palm-computers. Puede llamarse así al reset con, por ejemplo, la opción reiniciar del Windows o simplemente con Ctrl-Alt-Del. Es un reset que no borra el total de lo que hay almacenado en la máquina aunque si cierra todos los programas y "limpia" algunos errores, pero no todos. Se usa también en instalaciones de nuevos drivers o softwares que involucran algún dispositivo (retiene la info neesaria para terminar el proceso de inatalación) El hard reset es, simplemente apagar la máquina y darle, digamos diez segundos para reiniciar. Eso si borra todo. En algunas máquinas hay un botón para el soft reset. |
