Se me ha hecho difícil encontrar la equivalencia para "entrap" y "entrain". ¿Podría ser "atrapar y retener"??

Me parece rara la redacción, tal vez sólo trata de utilizar dos sinónimos para la misma acción: el aire queda atrapado, guardado, retenido. Aunque si quieres establecer una pequeña diferencia, podrías utilizar lo que sugiero, es decir, atrapar en el sentido de retener temporalmente, y retener en el sentido permanente.

De todas formas, "atrapar o retener" a mi manera de ver, realiza el mismo juego con las palabras.
