El material descrito es el hormigón armado, mezcla de cemento, arena, piedra, reforzada con una o varias mallas de barras de acero (el "reinforced" del original).

El "encofrado" (the formwork) que menciona el colega Gustafson es el molde que determina la forma final. Sin embargo la costumbre es siempre referirse a los muros por su material (muro de ladrillos, de bloques, de placas de yeso, de hormigón, etc.), y muy pocas veces por la forma en que son construidos ("premoldeado" es el único caso que viene ahora a mi memoria).
