Cooking / Culinary
English term or phrase: range
I know that this term has been discussed before, but I need a specific answer please for MEXICO. I will also post a separate, closely related inquiry, in order to avoid breaking the rule of multiple queries.

By a "range", I mean an electrical kitchen appliance for cooking. It has burners on the top and one or more ovens below the burners. Some ranges are free-standing, while others are designed to be built into a space in the cabinetry. A range is often, but not necessarily, an economical, somewhat portable appliance. It can also be quite luxurious, large, and expensive. They can be gas or electric. This never refers to a small cooking appliance that sits on a countertop.

I distinguish a "range" from a "cooktop" (next query), which is basically a flat slab containing burners that fits into a hole cut out in the kitchen counter. It could be metal with old-fashioned coil (resistance) burners, or it could be a modern ceramic class with sealed burners. But it is only a slab with burners, no oven below.

I need to find out what these are commonly called in MEXICO.

Thanking you ahead of time for any help you can afford.
