You probably won't find "unkillable" in the OED either (I haven't checked, and don't intend to - life's too short!). But that doesn't mean the word doesn't /cannot exist, cannot be used, and cannot be (correctly) interpreted.

The phrase "is all but (adj.)" is what in formal logic is called a "propositional function", i.e. it is not a proposition, because it doesn´t actually make a statement about anything. Propositional functions are generally translatable. However "the example is all but unkillable" is a proposition, it makes a statement, and consists of more than just the propositional function. It also implicitly contains a transitive verb and the noun that is its object. This is the part that makes no sense to me and that I consequently am unable to translate. I´m not sure what "kill" means here. It certainly doesn't have its ordinary meaning. Since I don't understand it I cannot translate it.

Tu traducción no convence. Puestos a traducir "is all but unkillable" sería "poco menos que imposible de matar". Esta es la frase española que encaja exactamente con el original.

Resulta que el ejemplo es todo excepto imposible de eliminar, sólo que sería mejor llamarlo el ejemplo Steve Jobs, o el ejemplo Warren Buffet*.
