To ensure that you have excellent options for your student, the district can provide transportation to another, high-performing school in our district (Valley View and Meadow Elementary). This public school choice is meant to provide students who attend a school with low scores on the state test (CSAP), options to attend other schools. The attachment is provided for you to see how Western Hills compares with these and other Colorado schools on the state assessments for reading and math.
We are committed to ensuring that all children meet academic expectations and have opportunities to choose their future. This year Western Hills will be involved in the district-wide reinvention planning. Next year your student will have the opportunity to select one of ten unique elementary choices that will be offered district-wide for all students in grades K-8. Two of these options will be available at the Western Hills site. These choices are a result of your voice and desire through the district strategic-planning process. These smaller schools will provide world-class learning choices for students that match their unique interests and passions.
