Education / Pedagogy / degrees
English term or phrase: Ed. D.
Context:

Dr. XXX holds the Bachelor of Arts degree from Diocesan Sisters College, the Master of Education and the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from the University of Hartford and the **Ed. D.** from Boston University

I think "Ed.D." might stand for "Education Degree", but I would like to check if someone knows for sure. I also checked on the website of the university, but this "Ed. D." is not listed among the different degrees they offer (which are the usual BA, MA and PhD)
