¿Cómo puedo traducir "referee review" en el siguiente contexto?

This was done firstly to increase the fit of the article submission to the special issue agenda and secondly to ensure that papers sent out for referee review met the rigor and quality standards of the Journal of Operations Management.

En México, se les llama dictaminadores. He sido dictaminadora de varias editoriales y, al mismo tiempo como editora, he sometido artículos, ensayos, libros a dictamen externo. Los equipos suelen estar formados por expertos en la disciplina en cuestión aunque a veces también integran a expertos en el mercado de libros o revistas.
